Dear Hikers!
The E5 long-distance hiking route is a European hiking route stretching from the Atlantic coast of France in Brittany, at Pointe du Raz, over the Alps and to Verona in Italy. The route ends at the Verona Arena and offers 3,200 km.
The Alps section of the E5 route is without a doubt the most demanding but is also the most scenic part. This section follows an especially diverse and beloved route of the E5, from Oberstdorf in the Allgäu region on the northern side of the German Alps to Merano on the southern side in Italy.
The ascent to Seescharte peak (2,599m) passes by Seewies Lake, reaching a view of the Lochbachtal Valley and Zammer Loch that is simply overwhelming. The route down to Zams in the Inn Valley passes through untouched nature.
Take the Venet lift to the mid-lift station (please note: last departure at 5pm), then: 15 minutes ascent to the lodge.

Top hikers can enjoy a 3-hour ascent from Zams to the ski lodge at 1,780 m.
